Based on the cult Winona Ryder movie, Heathers has been updated for the modern day. Starts soon on SBS VICELAND and SBS On Demand.

For a generation, Heathers bacame part of our DNA. The 1988 Winona Ryder and Christian Slater black comedy delivered a bleak, biting satire of being a teenager in high school, dealing with the social consequences of the quest for popularity.

The new Heathers TV series reflects the greater complexity of what it means to be a teenager today. It's a biting social commentary about growing up, and the flaws and contradictions that make us human – ‘good’ characters break bad, bullies prosper then falter.

The much-anticipated reboot blends drama, love, rivalry, and comedy into a confronting and audacious series.

Heathers stars a cast of diverse young actors including Melanie Field, Brendan Scannell, Grace Victoria Cox and Jasmine Mathews, with original cast member Shannon Doherty returning.

Coming to SBS On Demand and SBS VICELAND soon, Heathers takes a satirical and unapologetic approach to many taboos and pokes fun at politically correct culture, with no topic off-limits.
