Earlier today, two new Spider-Man: Homecoming trailers were released, which shed more light on Spidey's latest cinematic story and dropped even more MCU tie-ins. But along with the the previews came a new poster, and the reception to it has been significantly less positive, so much so that a lot of folks are making fun of it on social media. Before going further, here's the latest Spider-Man: Homecoming poster for you to judge for yourself.

We have definitely have a cluttered lineup of characters on this Spider-Man: Homecoming poster (including multiple versions of Peter Parker, Tony Stark and Adrian Toomes), and that's putting it mildly. Others weren't so nice.

Marvel has professionals who design their posters, so to compare their work to someone winning a contest on Reddit definitely stings.

Monster Trucks is already one of 2017's biggest bombs and earned mostly negative reviews, but hey, in this guy's eyes, at least it had a better poster than Spider-Man: Homecoming.

You know what they say: if you want something done right, do it yourself. Ok, so this isn't technically better, but throwing in Birdman, creepy Peter Parker from Spider-Man 3, Jay Gatsby and other random people is amusing.

Finally, this man (who earlier compared this poster to a 1980s VHS cover) wisely pointed out that Spider-Man: Homecoming should have taken inspiration for its next poster from Spider-Man and Vulture's battle on the cover of The Amazing Spider-Man #64, and it would have looked great.

Whether you like this Spider-Man: Homecoming poster or hate it, the overall reaction doesn't represent the hype directed towards the MCU's first Spidey movie. Like Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, it looks like it will be another hit for Marvel this year, though we still have weeks to go before the initial reactions from critics start pouring in.

Spider-Man: Homecoming swings into theaters on July 7.
