Tom Holland will be featured in some capacity in Avengers: Infinity War, and the young star is teasing his surreal experience and Spider-Man’s role. Holland will soon have two Marvel Cinematic Universe appearances under his belt once his solo film, Spider-Man: Homecoming, debuts in July. But, fans have already experienced what it is like to have this new Spider-Man fight alongside (and against) some of the biggest heroes in the MCU. When it comes time for his role in Infinity War, fans will surely be eager to see him alongside the Avengers once more.

Spider-Man may not yet be an Avenger, but it is ultimate goal. Fighting alongside them across the galaxy in an effort to stop Thanos will undoubtedly make that task easier. So, what can Spidey fans expect to see out of the web-slinger in his next appearance?

Holland recently spoke to Yahoo Movies about all aspects of his young and blossoming career, but the majority of the talk was focused on his breakout role as Peter Parker. With so many people anxiously awaiting Infinity War in general – as well as seeing how Spidey fits into the story – Holland was asked about his experience on the biggest Marvel Studios production to date. Not only did he touch on his experience, but also teased what exactly he’s been doing.

It’s been crazy, man. It’s been a really, really surreal experience. When I did Civil War, I only worked with Chris and Robert very briefly. Everyone else was sort of like, I was acting with a tennis ball or all this sort of stuff. I saw everyone, but I never got to work with them. For this now, I’m in a situation where I’m on set with all these guys doing scenes, fighting bad guys. It’s been a real whirlwind. It’s been a lot of fun.
It’s no surprise to hear Holland is enjoying his time on the epic production, but after such a brief role in Captain America: Civil War, it sounds like he’ll be a much larger part of the film. Unlike his debut, he is physically present for a majority of his role and its apparent as Holland describes working with multiple actors that he’s never had the chance to be with before. Plus, the brief tease of these scenes fighting bad guys should be plenty exciting just for the thought of Spidey and others working together.

How large of a role Spider-Man has is still unclear, but Marvel has already allowed for a glimpse at who he will be interacting with. An early production video showed Holland in his mo-cap gear alongside Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man) and Chris Pratt (Star-Lord). If the current leader of the Avengers and leader of the Guardians of the Galaxy are standing side-by-side with Spider-Man, there are undoubtedly many other familiar faces involved. Even though many want to know more about the film overall, those details should come over the next year before its release.
