Toby Kebbell, last seen battling angry Gods in “Wrath of the Titans” and soon to be seen battling angry apes in “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes,” will now be playing an angry guy himself in Josh Trank’s reboot of “The Fantastic Four.”

The British actor has landed the role of Victor von Doom, aka Doctor Doom, the villain of the upcoming comic book remake that will also star Miles Teller as Mister Fantastic (aka Stretchy Guy), Kate Mara as Invisible Girl (aka anyone in this role will be 100-times more convincing than Jessica Alba), Michael B. Jordan as the Human Torch (aka wiseass guy) and Jamie Bell as the Thing (aka the rock guy). The super foursome, of course, gets their powers after going for a cosmic joyride, or some such.

Julian McMahon previously played Doctor Doom in the 2005 movie by director Tim Story, which starred a bunch of grown ups (and, er, Jessica Alba). This remake will star their kids.

Trank, coming off “Chronicle,” will direct for Fox, with the film scheduled for June 19, 2015. A sequel is already being slated for 2017, so yeah, looks like Fox is feeling mighty bullish.
