A new team is getting together to fight the villainous Hela in a new TV spot for Thor: Ragnarok. The titular hero (Chris Hemsworth) is facing his most formidable challenge yet in Hela (Cate Blanchett), who will unleash cataclysmic damage on Asgard upon her accidental release from a millennia-spanning imprisonment. Thor will also enlist the help of other heroes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe such as the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) to fight back.

Loki (Tom Hiddleston) will also find himself on Thor’s team, as the hero’s otherwise untrustworthy brother will be needed once the Goddess of Death really starts wreaking havoc with her weapon-conjuring powers. Ragnarok is going to find Thor busy battling through his own imprisonment, but he’s also going to need to get his team assembled to give Hela the toughest fight possible. Thanks to a new preview for the sequel, you can get another glimpse at how the heroes come together.

A new TV spot for Ragnarok reveals Thor’s attempts to build his team of fighters. You can watch the video above. Featured in the spot is the recruitment of Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), who was surprised to think for a moment that Thor would be battling Hela “alone”. Also featured is Ruffalo as Bruce Banner, who can’t quite remember who won that gladiator fight. There’s more of Hiddleston as a chained-up Loki, who is helpless as Thor just chucks something at his head. It won’t be long after that when Thor needs to keep his brother and Valkyrie from clashing.

Additionally, the clip features Thor and Loki wielding guns, which director Taika Waititi described as making the heroes feel “challenged” during the film as opposed to feeling advantaged. Conspicuously absent is Doctor Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), who is also expected to join Thor’s team in some capacity — but even for the Sorcerer Supreme, it may be hard to impress the people of Asgard.

Blanchett recently explained why she jumped at the opportunity to play Hela. Beyond the coolness of embodying an evil goddess with such immense powers, she’s particularly pumped to become the first female villain of the MCU. She also wanted to work with Waititi, who may have brought the absolute best out of the Oscar-winning actress. Ragnarok has potential to be one of the MCU’s most exciting and fresh entries, and a committed performance from the Big Bad would go a long way toward making the sequel a success.

Hela’s powers were obviously dangerous enough to imprison her for multiple millennia, so an equally powerful team of superheroes will need to band together to even have a chance at stopping her. Blanchett certainly has the acting chops to be convincing and memorable as Hela, but that will come with extremely high expectations. Whether she lives up to them is anyone’s guess, but it will need to happen if Thor: Ragnarok really wants to earn a spot among the MCU’s best films.
