A trailer for a superhero film is never just a trailer. The two-and-a-half-minutes or so of footage will always be packed with hidden references and clues to pique the interest of comic book fans – Easter eggs that often go entirely over the heads of everyone else... or at least they would if not for the likes of Screen Rant who've done all the hard work for us.

The latest footage to pore over? That insanely good trailer for Suicide Squad that was released earlier this week. Bet you didn't notice the hidden reference in the Joker's tuxedo or the message tucked in the window display destroyed by Harley Quinn, did you?
