CAROLINE Flack, Jake Wood and Aston Merrygold will wow fans of Strictly Come Dancing during the Christmas special.

These behind-the-scenes snaps from the show reveal the trio showing off their impressive moves as they return to the dancefloor for the spectacular one-off episode.

Caroline, who won the show in 2014 with Pasha Kovalev, will dance the Charleston dressed as Pinocchio with professional partner Gorka Marquez.

Speaking about the gruelling training ahead of the show, Caroline said: “I'd forgotten how exhausting it is.

“Last time I was this exhausted was four years ago.

“It's been really nice and really funny - Gorka's really funny.

“Because it's Christmas and it's silly, it's a silly routine, a Charleston, so it's just messing around really.”

Former JLS star Aston, who appeared on Strictly in 2017, will be dancing with his original professional partner Janette Manrara.

While Jake, who starred on the show in the same year of Caroline – dressed up as a king for his turn on the floor with partner Luba Mushtuk.

The trio have been joined by Strictly fan favourite Ann Widdecombe who was paired with her original pro Anton Du Beke.

She competed on the show in 2010 and wowed viewers with her comical routines and go-getting attitude on the dancefloor.

Anita Rani who competed in series 13, will dance the foxtrot with Neil Jones and Michael Vaughn will dance with Lee Ryan's former pro dancer Nadiya Bychkova.

Former England cricketer Michael, who took part in the show in 2012, makes an impressive entrance during his routine and flies onto the dancefloor.

During the Christmas special the judges, Craig Revel Horwood, Darcey Bussell, Bruno Tonioli and Head Judge Shirley Ballas, will be scoring the stars on their efforts.

And it seems someone is hugely impressive on the night, as the judges score 40 - the highest a contestant can get - during the show.

On the night however, the winner will be decided by the studio audience who will be able to cast their votes after the last performance.

The Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special will air on BBC One on Christmas Day at 5.30pm.
