This is the second consecutive international frame to be led by James Bond and Spectre — and it won’t be the last with China, France, Australia and Korea on deck this week.

With No. 1 debuts in 71 more markets this session, Eon/MGM/Sony Pictures’ spy actioner picked up a further $117.8M to bring the overseas cume to $223.1M.

Including the U.S. bow of $73M this frame, that brings the worldwide total to $296.1M. While the U.S. opening did not match the record bow of the last Bond outing, 2012’s Skyfall, the superspy’s 24th installment is pacing above that film in some key markets.

Notably, the UK dropped just 29% in the sophomore session to add $21.3M, and bring the cume to $100.2M. That puts Spectre ahead of Skyfall in local currency comps (£65.5M vs £61.6M) in the same number of days, per Sony figures.
