Spider-Man: Far From Home & The Lion King Get Awesome Dolby Cinema Posters
Spider-Man: Far From Home and The Lion King get stunning posters from Dolby Cinema. Disney will continue this year's summer blockbuster season with two upcoming releases, first in the pipeline is Marvel Studios' collaboration with Sony Pictures Entertainment, Far From Home. Directed by Jon Watts, the film takes place after the events of Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame and will see the friendly-neighborhood hero on a trip across the pond. Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) interrupts his much-needed vacation, however, as he recruits him to join Quentin Beck aka Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal) to fight the Elementals.
Two weeks after Far From Home, the House of Mouse's latest live-action adaptation of their classics in The Lion King will hit theaters. Directed by The Jungle Book helmer, Jon Favreau, the film packs a star-studded cast of characters. Donald Glover is voicing Simba; Billy Eichner as Timon, Seth Rogen as Pumbaa; John Oliver as Zazu; and Chiwetel Ejiofor as Scar; and Beyonce as Nala. The iconic James Earl Jones, on the other hand, will reprise his role as Mufasa. Marketing for both projects are currently on full gear with the latest promotional material come in the form of posters.
Courtesy of Dolby Cinema are two stunning one-sheets for Far From Home and The Lion King. The former is a very simple illustration featuring Spider-Man wearing the Stealth Suit - a new costume from Nick Fury that allows him to conceal his identity while doing missions in Europe. Meanwhile, the latter is more stylistic, albeit still clean and streamlined, with an outline of cub Simba at the center. Check out both posters below:
The Far From Home crew is on the final stretch of their global press tour that will culminate in the film's world premiere in Hollywood tomorrow. Initial reviews from press and critics who were able to see it ahead of time generally praise the movie as a worthy follow-up to Endgame - a good indicator considering the massive reception that the Joe and Anthony Russo-directed flick got. Meanwhile, The Lion King's promotion is also ramping up with the ticket pre-sales going live today. Disney released the official track list for the movie's soundtrack which is composed of a mix of classics and new songs as well.
Coming from a poster blunder, this latest one from Spider-Man: Far From Home is a welcome addition to the film's collection of marketing one-sheets. It's so simple, yet it relates to the film more than ever since the Stealth Suit is known to also be a stripped down version of his previous costumes. At this point, it might even be the coolest one-sheet from the project thus far. The same can be said for The Lion King since this more artistic poster looks so much better than the generic CGI ones that came before it.
