Apple TV+ unveils an explosive See season 3 trailer revealing the first look at the final season of the post-apocalyptic series starring Jason Momoa. Created and written principally by Peaky Blinders' Steven Knight, the dystopian drama is set hundreds of years into a primitive future in which all of humankind has lost the basic ability to see. However, one group, the Alkenny tribe, believes that two of its children possess the mythical power of sight.

Alongside Momoa leading the cast as the courageous warrior and head of the Alkenny Tribe, Baba Voss, the series stars Alfre Woodard as Paris, a wise elder member of the tribe who serves as their shaman. See also features a large ensemble cast comprised of many actors who are visually impaired or blind, including Sylvia Hoeks, Hera Hilmar, Christian Camargo, Archie Madekwe, Nesta Cooper, Yadira Guevara-Prip, Eden Epstein, Olivia Cheng, Hoon Lee, and Tom Mison. Renewed for a season 3 a year ago, it was later announced that it would be the show's last outing. Now, audiences are getting their first good look at the final season of the post-apocalyptic drama.

With a few months to go until its premiere, Apple TV has released the first See season 3 trailer. The teaser for the final season sees Momoa's Baba Voss returning to protect his wife, Maghra, and adopted children, Kofun and Haniwa, from fiery new threats created by a Trivantian scientist. The trailer also reveals the premiere date for See season 3, August 26. Check out the trailer below:

One interesting development in the See season 3 trailer is the return of Dave Bautista's Edo Voss. The upcoming season picks up about one year after the events of season 2, which saw Baba seemingly defeat his vengeful younger brother and leave his family behind to live remotely in the woods. As teased by the trailer, Baba will be forced to return to the Payan kingdom and protect his family when an unknown Trivantian scientist develops a new form of "sighted weaponry" that threatens the very future of humanity. Based on the footage, this weaponry appears to be some type of explosive fire bomb launched by trebuchets.

While Bautista was assumed to be a guest star in season 2, the new trailer reveals that Baba's nemesis brother will be back in some capacity in season 3 as he continues his quest for vengeance or possibly teams up with Baba in order to defeat the greater threat. See season 3 appears to be pulling out all the stops in terms of riveting action, though the return of Edo ensures that the show will still offer all the heartfelt emotion fans have come to expect. The final chapter of See debuts August 26 on Apple TV+ with new episodes dropping every Friday.
