CBS's new take on Nancy Drew, simply titled Drew, has found its leading lady in Sarah Shahi.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the Person of Interest star will play a grown-up Nancy Drew in the CBS pilot, which offers a modern day take on the long-running mystery novel series.

The show's official pitch describes Shahi's character as having gone from being the classic teen sleuth to a 30-something NYPD detective, who "investigates and solves crimes using her uncanny observational skills, all while navigating the complexities of life in a modern world."

In addition to Shahi, Drew's cast includes Vanessa Ferlito, who plays a homicide detective and former partner of Nancy, Anthony Edwards as Nancy's father, and Felix Solis, who plays a lieutenant at the NYPD.

Shahi will reprise her role as Sameen Shaw in Person of Interest when its fifth and potentially final season airs this spring. While CBS has yet to make a final decision on whether or not this will indeed be the end of the Jonathan Nolan and J.J. Abrams-produced drama, Shahi's new role in Nancy Drew -- another CBS project -- seems to be another sign POI is likely coming to a close.
