Samuel L. Jackson will get his wish as there is a plan in place for Nick Fury and Black Panther to meet, possibly in Black Panther 2? Even though he hasn't led a movie of his own, Fury is as important a character to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as nearly anyone. He's been there since the beginning. The former Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. has made six true appearances in MCU movies, as well as a seventh in the post-credits scene for Avengers: Infinity War. However, all of those appearances have been for naught as Jackson has yet to meet T'Challa.

Jackson was very vocal about his desire to appear in Black Panther, but his request was not fulfilled by the powers that be that run the shared universe. He instead is still left wanting the crossover to happen. Given the current state of both characters, what future appearances they could have together is unclear - but Jackson is confident that it will happen.

ET Online spoke to Jackson about his desire to meet with Chadwick Boseman's Black Panther on-screen. After giving his pitch for how Fury should've appeared in Black Panther's casino sequence, he shared some new information on the future. He apparently pitched that idea to Marvel, but the response he received indicates something else is in the works.

"It was just like, 'Ehh, nah. We're good. Nick Fury and Black Panther will meet somewhere. But not there.'"

As of right now, both Black Panther and Nick Fury were casualties of Thanos' devastating snap. While they (and many others) appeared to have died, there are plenty of theories that those that disintegrated were instead transported to another dimension, realm, or even reality. If that's the case, both characters could presumably be alive in a new universe and work together to try and restore the lives they once knew. Even if this doesn't happen in Avengers 4, a possible reunion scene with the rescued could bring this to fruition in a small capacity.

However, the bigger potential comes with Black Panther 2 and Fury possible appearance in that film. Marvel Studios is developing a sequel right now and there have been plenty of indications that Ryan Coogler will return to direct. While the finer details may still need to be ironed out, having a role in mind for Fury makes sense. Wakanda has opened up its doors to the public and assuming Fury and Black Panther are brought back to life by the end of Avengers 4, a meet up there could give the sequel some universe tie-ins.

If it isn't in either of these two options, a Fury and T'Challa meet up could always come in another Avengers film or even something like The Ultimates - if that's a path Marvel Studios decides to explore. Whatever the case may be, knowing that Jackson will eventually get to interact with Black Panther is a fun tidbit to receive as everyone theorizes over their current statuses.
