The important word in the headline being may.

According to Twitch, though, Twentieth Century Fox have “zeroed in” on “Safe House” director Daniel Espinosa as the man to direct the movie adaptation of the game “Asasssin’s Creed.”

A movie version of the bestselling game franchise has been in the works for a while now, with Michael Fassbender long attached to star. Who knows if he’ll actually still be game (see what I did there?) by the time this movie actually gets made. Dude is very popular and very busy.

Fox expects to have “Assassin’s Creed” out by 2015.

Based on the game by Ubisoft, “Assassin’s Creed” has players playing a master assassin who, well, goes around killing people, I guess. It is called “Assassin’s Creed,” after all, not “Baker’s Creed.” The popular game has spawn three sequels, with last October’s “Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag” being the latest.

You can check out the trailer for “Blag Flag” below if you’re unfamiliar with the franchise. The original game was during the Crusades.
