Under an exclusive agreement, the Russian company will distribute Fox, Fox Life, National Geographic, Nat Geo Wild and Baby TV.

Russian company Media-Telecom, a joint venture between major broadcaster National Media Group and state-controlled telecom giant Rostelecom, has struck an exclusive deal for the distribution of Fox Networks Group's pay TV channels in the country.

The deal covers distribution of Fox, Fox Life, National Geographic, Nat Geo Wild and Baby TV.

Fox Russia has aired exclusive premieres of such TV series as The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones and Deep State just hour after their U.S. premieres.

"For almost 20 years, Fox Networks Group has been entertaining millions of fans in Russia with our unique and compelling storytelling," said Carlos Ortega, executive vp for Fox Networks Group Central & Eastern Europe. "With a commitment to invest in must-have content and making this content as widely available as possible, we are delighted to partner with Media-Telecom to continue in our commitment to bring our Russian audiences and clients the best in premium programming."

"We will work on stepping up the availability and, consequently, popularity of Fox Networks Group's channels in Russia," added Alexander Kosarim, Media-Telecom's general director. "This is one of Media-Telecom's first deals, but we aim to expand our portfolio of pay TV networks."
