Justice League now has an official Rotten Tomatoes Score, as the review aggregating site finally reveals the film currently has a 43% rate. After irking some fans following their controversial decision to delay the reveal for 24 hours just to announce it on the site’s newest Facebook show See It/Skip It, the Zack Snyder-film finally has a spot in the DC Films’ RT spectrum — landing right in the middle considering all the other movies from the comic book film franchise.

The embargo has been lifted by Warner Bros. and the reviews have already started pouring in for the latest superhero movie in town. However, despite the fact that countless critics have put out their extensive thoughts on the project in the form of writing, some fans are still on the lookout for the overall consensus that review aggregating sites offer. Metacritic has previously revealed their tally with Justice League currently having a 49 Metascore out of 41 Critical Reviews, with most press people having a mixed reaction to the film. Now, aficionados have something to compare the score with, with Rotten Tomatoes also announcing their own composite.

As promised the now infamous Rotten Tomatoes score was made available during the latest edition of See It/Skip It, a web show hosted by Jacqueline Coley and Segun Oduolowu where the two offers their opinions on what’s hot and what’s not in the world of Hollywood movies and TV shows. Aside from their personal views, the hosts are also tasked to reveal the Tomatometer score for any upcoming big and small screen offerings and this week, it was the DC epic under the spotlight. Several hours before the information’s official release, it was actually leaked by the site’s app. At that point, Justice League’s rate was in a better place with 48%, although we’re not sure how many reviews have come in and affected the score since then to bring it down to 43%.

Despite the decrease in Tomatometer score, Justice League is able to maintain its place within the DC Films’ film series in regard to Rotten Tomatoes grade. It is still right in the middle of the five-film franchise with this summer’s hit Wonder Woman (92%) and the saga’s kick-off project, Man of Steel (55%) taking the top two places. The bottom half of the ranking, on the other hand, consists of Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice (27%) and Suicide Squad (26%).

With regard to the site’s established way of analyzing their aggregated data, Justice League is dubbed Rotten. It is important to note, however, that as more reviews come in and are tabulated, there is still a good chance that 43% won’t be the final score for the ensemble movie, although, admittedly it is difficult to gauge whether it will go up or down as of the moment. What is interesting is, despite its so-called “Rotten” tag, the movie has been dubbed by countless critics as a step in the right direction for DC. And while the score is not really what Warners and even fans have hoped for for the movie, the fact that it was able to come through after its troubled production and still be enjoyable is already a success.

With the infamous Rotten Tomatoes mark already out in the open, we can now all move on, forget about the score, see Justice League and have our own thoughts about it, hopefully without the site’s grade clouding our own judgment.
