Han Solo's funeral and more will be seen for the first time in the March release.

With the movie heading into its second month in theaters, it might be assumed that audiences know all there is to know about Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

As the latest edition of Lucasfilm’s YouTube series The Star Wars Show revealed, however, writer/director Rian Johnson is willing to share some more secrets from a galaxy far, far away.

Johnson worked with novelist Jason Fry to create all-new material set during the movie — as well as to add some deleted material from the pic back into canon — for the upcoming Star Wars: The Last Jedi novelization, which is set to be published by Del Rey in March.

In a brief video piece, Johnson talked about his childhood love of movie novelizations, saying that he and Fry “got to talk through some interesting deleted scenes from the film,” and added, “That’s some of the fun stuff you can get into a novel that you can’t always get onto the screen.”

“Rian Johnson and I had an amazing conversation,” Fry agreed. “We got to write entirely new scenes for the book: Han Solo’s funeral, Rose and Paige Tico together, and further explorations of the fascinating world of Canto Bight, to name just a few.”

Fry is a longtime Star Wars writer, having written a number of non-fiction and reference books based around the franchise, as well as short stories and young adult novels set inside official Star Wars canon.

The Star Wars: The Last Jedi novelization will be released March 6. Watch the Star Wars Show episode below.
