How much Harry is too much Harry? Potter fans are about to find out. As David Yates' Fantastic Beast and Where to Find Them approaches, Warner Bros. and IMAX have announced a planned marathon of the entire Harry Potter franchise, in IMAX at selection locations. It was revealed with a Tweet:

It was revealed with a Tweet, declaring that all eight movies in the Harry Potter catalogue would screen in IMAX, with no time turner needed. Clever nod to both The Prisoner of Azkaban, as well as the current West End theatrical production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. And the details were dropped on IMAX's official page, letting fans know that the Harry Potter IMAX Week would begin on Thursday, October 13, which coincides with a very special Fantastic Beasts fan event. Audience members who attend on that day will see a never-before-seen reel of exclusive Fantastic Beasts footage, as well as a live Q-and-A, and appearances by some of the cast members at two IMAX locations in London and Los Angeles.

Show times for all eight of the movies will vary depending on the location, so Harry Potter fans are advised to check with their local theater during Harry Potter week to find out when the sequel that you really want to see will be screening. Warner Bros. reports that tickets to the week-long event will come in four options: Single Ticket; Day Access (admittance to three or more shows in a single day); Four-Show Access (admittance to four shows any time, any day); and Festival Access (unlimited admittance throughout the event). They note that available packages and pricing will vary by theater.

Why are they doing this? Well, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them returns audiences to the wizarding world of author J.K. Rowling. And it gives fan the opportunity to revisit their favorite Harry Potter films on the box screen -- and in IMAX for the very first time, as will be the case for both The Sorcerer's Stone and The Chamber of Secrets.

But this also could create a little bit of confusion, no? When Marvel does a marathon, it's because the MCU chapters all feed into the next move, be it Civil War or something similar. Fantastic Beasts, however, is also trying to be its own thing, introducing Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) and operating free of Hogwarts and the Harry Potter universe.

Either way, you will be able to appreciate Harry Potter Week, and get an exclusive sneak peek at Fantastic Beasts starting in a few days. Which Harry Potter movie do you view as an absolute can't miss on the IMAX screen?
