Jeremy Renner has revealed which side he's going to take in Captain America: Civil War.

Spoilers ahead, obviously.

During an appearance at Wizard World Comic Con Chicago (as reported by Comicbook.com), a fan asked him "how he felt about siding with the First Avenger" in the upcoming film. The question was obviously loaded, as the Civil War graphic novel famously pitches Cap against Iron Man and we're yet to find out who sides with who in the film adaptation. Here's how Renner responded:

"I don't know; they wrote me in that side," he said. "It made sense to me."

Realizing his slip, he quickly joked that "maybe I switched sides!”

Captain America: Civil War picks up where Avengers: Age of Ultron left off, as Steve Rogers leads a new Avengers team. The cast includes Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Anthony Mackie, Paul Rudd, Paul Bettany, Don Cheadle, Elizabeth Olsen, Martin Freeman and Daniel Bruhl.
