Paramount has picked up the rights to Kill Them All, a graphic novel by Kyle Starks, setting James Coyne to adapt the material.

Josh Appelbaum and Andre Nemec, who count Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as credits, are producing.

Described as a love letter to 1990s action movies, Kill Them All tells of a betrayed murderess on a revenge streak and a hard-drinking former cop who, to get what they want, team to take down a crime lord. The latter rules from atop a 15-story Miami high-rise, so the duo must go floor by floor cutting through assassins, murderers, Luchadore gang bosses, ex-boyfriends and office workers.

The book began life on Kickstarter before being picked up by Oni Press.

Appelbaum and Nemec are also producing an adaptation of the Tom Clancy novel Without Remorse for Paramount, which will star Michael B. Jordan and which recently secured a 2020 release date.

Coyne, repped by Gersh, Kaplan/Perrone and Felker Toczek, previously teamed with Paramount on Cascade, a sci-fi pitch he sold to the studio. He also worked on Treasure Island and Sherlock Holmes 3 for Warner Bros.
