Despite prior reports claiming George Miller is done making Mad Max movies, the Fury Road director says he still has more planned for the franchise.

Miller told TheWrap he was misquoted in a recent interview after traveling for 27 hours, calling it a "completely garbled interview," in which the journalist "got the wrong fragments of information that were just not true."


According to the director: "I said no, [another Mad Max movie] will not be next, and she took that to mean I never wanted to make another Mad Max. It won’t necessarily be next, but I have two more stories."

Earlier today, the 88th Academy Awards nominees were revealed, and Mad Max: Fury Road scored an impressive ten nods, including nominations for Best Picture and Best Director. Additionally, Miller's post-apocalyptic movie was named best film of the year by The National Board of Review.
