Everything is coming up Captain Marvel. The character has seen a meteoric rise in popularity over the last few years and she is on the verge of exploding into the mainstream. Not only will Captain Marvel hit theaters in 2019, with none other than Brie Larson in the title role, but the character will also have a presence at the 2018 Winter Olympics. Female members of Team USA will be decked out in ski suits inspired by Captain Marvel's iconic design, which NBC has teased in the picture below. Check it out because it is seriously cool.

NBC Olympics has shared a behind-the-scenes look at a photo shoot for the upcoming Winter Olympics. The photo features Michaela Shiffrin, a member of the US Ski Team, sporting an outfit based on the design of Marvel superhero Captain Marvel. Shiffrin is the Overall World Cup champion and the reigning Olympic and world champion in slalom, having just recently won her fourth title in World Cup Slalom. And at 22, she's the youngest slalom champion in Olympic alpine skiing history. All that is to say, she's currently one of the best skiers on the planet, and she has been wearing the Marvel outfit for most of 2017.

Mikaela Shiffrin isn't just wearing this suit for herself though. With their insane movements while flying through the air, it's no wonder that we consider Olympic skiers superheroes. Ski and performance brand Skyler knows it too, which is why it's partnered up with Disney/Marvel. Spyder announced a two-year collaboration with Disney Consumer Products and Interactive Media that will produce new performance equipment inspired by Marvel's heroes. While the men wear a Captain America-inspired uniform, the women team members wear the Captain Marvel one seen above. The Ski Team Members have been wearing the suits since the Alpine World Championships were held in St. Moritz, Switzerland earlier this year and will continue to do so during the 2018 Winter Olympics.

It's a very cool idea for a partnership, and it'll definitely be exciting to see sporting superhero outfits as they speed down the courses at a blistering pace. It's also a smart way to get people aware of Captain Marvel, which should be filming while during the Winter Olympics.

Captain Marvel is set to have her own movie premiere in 2019, which will be the first female-led Marvel movie. Brie Larson stars as Carol Danvers, an Air Force pilot who gains incredible super powers after an alien encounter. Not much is known about the plot at this time, but rumors abound that we could be first seeing the character in the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War. Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck will direct the film.

PyeongChang, South Korea will be hosting the 2018 Winter Olympics, which will air on NBC from February 9 -- 25th, 2018.
