Actress Olivia Wilde says she hasn't been contacted about playing Captain Marvel.

Wilde denied the rumors on The Late Late Show with James Corden, via Hypable. She denied any connection, but certainly left the door open to the possibility in the future.

"No!" she said when asked about playing the role. However, she said she "was thrilled" at the rumors. "I think that would be amazing, but I had nothing to do with it."

Captain Marvel is slated for March 8, 2019, after being pushed in favor of an Ant-Man sequel. Rumors have been flying regarding the casting, from Rebecca Ferguson to MMA fighter Ronda Rousey, who has personally campaigned for the role.
