No season 2 for amazon's mad dogs

Executive producer Shawn Ryan has announced the Amazon show Mad Dogs will not be getting any more episodes.


"Some Amazon employees told me that Mad Dogs, after only four weeks, already had better streaming stats than many other Amazon shows," said Ryan. "...That said, Mad Dogs was originally intended to be a closed 10 episode limited series."


"Many critics pointed out that this wasn’t the kind of concept destined for an extended multi-season run, and that’s right. But in order to get Season 1 made Amazon wanted to know that future seasons might be possible," Ryan continued.

Shawn Ryan and series creator Cris Cole did actually discuss a story for Season 2, however "Amazon didn't want to make that story and we didn’t want to make the kind of story they wanted us to make."

Yeah that's sad news. That's very bad what amazon tried to do. You don't interfere with the creators ideas and plots.

Based on how they filmed it, I could personally vouch for the fact it was NOT meant to be a 10-episode series... Although it definitely looked like they could've ended it after this season, what would have been the point? They did a half-ass job to set it up for season 2.

Not watched the show yet, however by the looks of seems like a good show. You two have been talking about it. Will need to check it out.
