Nicole Richie will star in the new NBC comedy “Great News,” according to the Hollywood Reporter. The former “Simple Life” star will replace Kimrie Lewis-Davis, who was originally slated to appear in the ’30 Rock’ team’s latest project.

Malik Yoba has been cast a recurring character on Kiefer Sutherland‘s new prime-time drama “Designated Survivor,” as reported by The Mark Gordon Company and ABC Studios. Yoba has been signed on for seven episodes as Jason Atwood, the established Deputy Director of the FBI. “Designated Survivor” also stars Natascha McElhone, Maggie Q, Kal Penn and Adan Canto, among others.

Image Comics’ “Deadly Class” will be adapted into a TV series, Deadline reports. The new series will be produced by directors Joe and Anthony Russo, who directed this summer’s blockbuster “Captain America: Civil War.” The Russo Brothers will collaborate with co-creator/writer of “Deadly Class” Rick Remender, the acclaimed comic book artist behind “Uncanny Avengers” and “Venom.” The series is slated to be set by Sony Pictures TV.
