Anne Hathaway's 'Barbie' moves back to Aug. 8, 2018, while a 'Bad Boys' sequel falls off the schedule.


Sony's growing Spider-Man shared universe has a date for its spin-off Silver and Black.
The film will open Feb. 8, 2019. Gina Prince-Bythewood directs the female-centered adaptation about Marvel characters Silver Sable and Black Cat. Silver and Black comes out four months after the previously announced October 2018 date for Tom Hardy's Venom.
The studio has also pulled Bad Boys sequel Bad Boys for Life from the schedule (it was previously set for Nov. 9, 2018).
Columbia Pictures also confirmed that Anne Hathaway will star in Barbie (news she was in talks for the role broke last month) and has moved the film back a few weeks to Aug. 8, 2018 (it was previously set for June 29, 2018). Alethea Jones directs the film.
In addition, Columbia Pictures and Black Label's Sicario 2: Soldado, the followup to Denis Villeneuve's 2015 film, will open June 29, 2018. Benicio del Toro and Josh Brolin return for the film, this time directed by Stefano Sollima.
Other changes include Breaking Bad director Michelle MacLaren's feature film debut The Nightingale has been moved to Jan. 25, 2019 from its previous date of Aug. 10, 2018. Columbia comedy Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly comedy Holmes and Watson, has moved to Nov. 9, 2018 from Aug. 3, 2018. TriStar Pictures will also release director Ben Taylor's The Rosie Project on May 10, 2019.
