And now the fall broadcast dates are set.

ABC on Tuesday became the last of the five broadcast networks to announce its fall premiere dates for new and returning series. In keeping with tradition, the Disney-owned network will concentrate its returning dates for the crowded Premiere Week, where new series like Stumptown will go head-to-head with the likes of CBS' NCIS: New Orleans and NBC's New Amsterdam.

ABC's season will start Monday, Sept. 16, with the season 28 premiere of Dancing With the Stars. The following week, the medical drama The Good Doctor returns with its third season on Sept. 23, with the remainder of ABC's schedule to follow.

While all of ABC's scripted series will return during Premiere Week, the Karey Burke-led network will launch its lowest number of new dramas and comedies in the fall. Only the Black-ish spinoff Mixed-ish and the dramas Stumptown and Emergence will launch in the fall. That decision will see ABC have to spend less to promote new series in the crowded Premiere Week as the network instead shifts its focus to midseason, where it's easier to cut through a less-cluttered broadcast landscape.
