EMMERDALE fans were left furious this evening after Lachlan White returned – by sending Rebecca a birthday card.

Rebecca, played by Emily Head, had a panic attack as she received the sinister card from her evil nephew.

The character was left horrified as she opened a card which simply read “Happy Birthday, Lachlan”.

She instantly looked terrified and started shaking while struggling to breathe.

Ross, who had been upstairs, was shocked to find her having a panic attack by the letter box.

Showing him the card, she panted: “It’s Lachlan” before she started panicking even more.

Those watching at home were not impressed with Lachlan’s move and took to Twitter to comment on it.

One person wrote: “Lachlan actually has the f**king nerve to send Rebecca a "Happy Birthday" card after everything he did to hurt/destroy her seriously? That's beyond low #Emmerdale.”

Another commented: “Lachlan still causing havoc from beyond the written out grave, and he didn't even put any kisses! #emmerdale.”

While another joked: “How thoughtful of Lachlan to send Bex a Birthday card. #Emmerdale.”

The card leads to Rebecca and Ross making plans for a fresh start away from Emmerdale with their sons Moses and Seb.

Rebecca was held hostage by Lachlan, while fans thought that he had killed her, twice.

Lachlan is currently in prison where he’s been told he will be staying for ‘a very long time.’

During his murder spree, Lachlan killed his mum and granddad, Chrissie and Lawrence White, his best friend Gerry Roberts and a conman who pretended to be Gerry’s uncle.

He also tried to kill rival Robert Sugden and Liv Flaherty after thinking she was onto him.
