Michael B. Jordan is lining up another franchise.

The actor is set to play the Tom Clancy-created hero John Clark in a new film series for Paramount, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed. The studio is looking to adapt the 1993 novel Without Remorse, as well as the 1998 novel Rainbow Six, which also spawned a series of successful video games.

Jordan will produce alongside Akiva Goldsman, Josh Appelbaum and Corin Nemec.

Clark is the late Clancy's second most popular character after Jack Ryan, who recently came to the small screen in a John Krasinski-toplined series for Amazon. He previously has been portrayed by Willem Dafoe (1994's Clear and Present Danger, opposite Harrison Ford as Jack Ryan) and Liev Schreiber (2002's The Sum of All Fears, opposite Ben Affleck). Clark first appeared in the 1987 novel The Cardinal of the Kremlin and is a former Navy SEAL and director of the elite counterterrorism unit Rainbow Six.
