Mayans MC brings back a Sons of Anarchy villain after 7 years

Mayans MC has brought back an old adversary, last seen in the fourth season of Sons of Anarchy.

In the latest episode, 'Gato/Mis', Lincoln Potter (Ray McKinnon) returns in the closing moments, having an exchange with Ezekiel 'EZ' Reyes (JD Pardo).

The Assistant US Attorney tells EZ: "Lovely night for a walk."

As he picks up a cat, Potter continues: "Tell me, my wise feline friend. You've roamed behind those rusty gates. What unspeakable truths lie twisted amongst the scrap, hmm?"

And, just as he's re-introduced, the episode ends.

Potter first appeared in the fourth season of Sons of Anarchy, targeting Jax Teller (Charlie Hunnam) and company.

It was confirmed in August that Mayans MC would be featuring characters from the original show alongside the newcomers.

Meanwhile, the show has already been commissioned for a second season, after it had the most-watched cable premiere of 2018 among adults under 50.

"Mayans MC is performing fantastically, proving to be a breakout first season," said Nick Grad, president of original programming at FX Networks/Productions.

"The series premiered as the highest-rated cable series this year and continues to sustain a committed fan base, reflecting the talent and drive of creators Kurt Sutter and Elgin James.
