Matt Bomer joins 'Nice Guys' with Ryan Gosling, Russell Crowe

Matt Bomer has certainly been surrounding himself with some nice company lately.

After filming the sequel Magic Mike XXL, Bomer will next star opposite Ryan Gosling and Russell Crowe in the action drama Nice Guys.

Set in 1970s Los Angeles, Crowe plays a gangster who hires a detective (Gosling) to find a missing girl and uncovers a dangerous conspiracy where Bomer’s character comes in. The TV star is making a strong transition into film now that the USA series White Collar is ending after six seasons. In addition to taking it off again opposite Channing Tatum, Bomer will also star in the upcoming Montgomery Clift biopic Monty Clift.

Shane Black, who wrote and directed Iron Man 3, is repeating his duties for this film for Warner Brothers. The Leftovers’ Margaret Qualley has also joined the cast as the daughter of the corrupt chief justice involved in the scandal.
