Following on from the news that he would like to see an eco-friendly Hulk film, Mark Ruffalo has been talking about the tone of the upcoming Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Speaking to MTV (via The Hollywood Reporter), Ruffalo said that Joss Whedon's sequel will be "I would say that it's better, it's cooler, it's more awesomer."

Nothing stokes the hype machine quite like a double comparative. But Ruffalo also went on to tease the tone of the film, saying it's "a little bit darker [than The Avengers], but also really has Joss Whedon's incredibly, witty and sly sense of humour."

This is in keeping with recent comments by fellow cast member Scarlett Johansson, who said "the script is dark and it’s dry, it’s got this amazing one-liner, glass-cutting sense of humour."
