If you're making a movie called All-Star Weekend you're setting an expectation that your movie will be full of stars. For what it's worth Jamie Foxx is apparently working to make that title a reality. The actor, who will be writing and directing the new film about two friends who start a rivalry over basketball, is promising "epic" cameos in the film, and the names we know already puts the film off to a good start.

The Ray actor was leaving a birthday party for Drake and was chatting with paparazzi photographers when rapper French Montana pulled up to the curb, the two exchanged pleasantries before Foxx revealed to the photographer that Montana would be joining him in All-Star Weekend. TMZ posted the video. This adds a third major name to the list, which already included hip-hop star The Game and boxer Floyd Mayweather.

Jamie Foxx has been working on All-Star Weekend for at least four years. Back when he first started talking about it the plan was for Foxx to star alongside Ken Jeong. As far as we know that may still be the plan, but neither Foxx nor Jeong are actually listed on the film's IMDB page, so it's anybody's guess. We're assuming Foxx will still star as the movie was written by him and he's also directing, but four years is a long time so anybody that planned to join the film originally may have moved on to other things by now.

Exactly how all the cameos will be used in the film is not clear. TMZ mentions that Lebron James and Steph Curry are also rumored to make an appearance in the film. If that's the case, they're the first actual basketball players announced for the project. Since the entire focus of the movie is built around two friends' basketball rivalry, it would seem the movie would need at least a couple people.

Beyond that, Foxx says that everybody involved will be playing "different characters" which we assume means not themselves. So while pro boxer Floyd Mayweather will be in the movie, he won't be playing Floyd Mayweather. He could be playing a boxer who simply has a different name, or he could be playing somebody completely different.
