Season three of The Man in the High Castle will premiere Oct. 5 on Amazon, the company announced Saturday at San Diego Comic-Con.

And, oh yeah, the show will also be returning for a fourth season. Amazon also announced the renewal at Comic-Con.

Given that High Castle is among Amazon Prime's more popular series — at least according to Amazon, which like other streaming providers doesn't release viewership data — the early pickup isn't all that big a surprise. The show, based on Philip K. Dick's novel, is set in an alternate history in which the Axis powers won World War II and divided up the United States.

Season two ended with a nuclear blast averted but a number of characters at a crossroads. Amazon also released a teaser for the third season, hinting at what's to come.

The Man in the High Castle stars Rufus Sewell, Alexa Davalos, DJ Qualls, Rupert Evans, Stephen Root, Luke Kleintank and Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa. Treme and Bosch veteran Eric Overmyer joined as showrunner for season three after the show went without anyone at the helm in the second season. Isa Dick Hackett, Philip K. Dick's daughter, is also an executive producer.
