Netflix’s Lockwood & Co. has an unlikely connection to the MCU that makes the series even more fun than it already is. Based on the book series of the same name by Jonathan Stroud, the Netflix series follows Anthony Lockwood, Lucy Carlyle, and George Harim, who make up the titular teenage ghost-hunting agency. Despite their ages and the size of Lockwood & Co. compared to competitors, they quickly distinguish themselves as one of the best ghost-hunting agencies in the game. Though they are skilled at what they do, the small and independent nature of Lockwood & Co. leads to the group facing plenty of opposition from larger agencies.

One of the biggest agencies that the Lockwood & Co. main characters must compete with is the Fittes Agency. Along with DEPRAC (Department of Psychical Research and Control), the Fittes Agency is a huge obstacle fort Lockwood & Co. in their journey. Though the Fittes Agency is already great at filling an antagonist role in Netflix’s Lockwood & Co., a secret link between the Netflix show and the MCU’s Spider-Man series makes both the characters and its plot even better.

Lockwood & Co's Holland Family Links Adds Another Layer To Its Story

It might seem strange to think of Netflix’s Lockwood & Co. and the MCU’s Spider-Man series together. However, the two franchises are linked in more ways than one, as two of the Holland brothers appear in each respective series, with Tom playing Peter Parker/Spider-Man, and Paddy Holland playing a Fittes agent in Lockwood & Co. This might not seem like an important connection at first, but their casting adds an interesting layer to Lockwood & Co. when considering the kind of role both Tom and Paddy Holland play in their respective series.

Tom Holland has gained renown for portraying the titular hero in the MCU’s Spider-Man movies, which gives a different meaning to his brother Paddy Holland’s role in Lockwood & Co. In the Netflix show, the younger Holland brother portrays Bobby Vernon, who is a ghost hunter under the supervision of Quill Kipps. During the show’s first season, Kipps’ team plays an antagonistic role to Lockwood & Co. Paddy Holland’s role as an antagonist creates a twist on the fact that his older brother plays one of the biggest Marvel heroes, thus adding a new, fun layer to Lockwood & Co.’s, thus adding a new, fun layer to Lockwood & Co.’s characters.

Where Else You Know Paddy Holland From

As the youngest Holland sibling, Paddy Holland’s acting career is just getting started. However, Lockwood & Co. is not Holland’s first role, as he has a few more acting credits under his belt. Holland’s first appearance onscreen was in 2018’s Holmes & Watson. Later, in 2021, Holland appeared in Apple TV+’s Invasion as Monty. Since the status of Lockwood & Co. season two is still up in the air, it is unclear what will be next for Paddy Holland, though there will likely be plenty more roles in his future.
