The film which is being shopped to buyers at this week's AFM by HanWay Film, which is handling worldwide sales is the feature screenplay and directorial debut of Dunkirk and Cloud Atlas star James D'Arcy.

Neeson will play Robert, a bohemian London artist who returns to Italy with his estranged son (played by Richardson) to make a quick sale of the house they inherited from his late wife. The film will commence production April 2019 in Italy.

“It has been exciting to see this popular screenplay and project really mature and take shape this year; and with Liam and Micheál playing a father and son facing challenges both emotional and comedic in Tuscany, we are in for a very special treat," said HanWay managing director Gabrielle Stewart.

The film was developed by London-based CrossDay productions, and is produced by film and TV veteran Pippa Cross (Chalet Girl, Shooting Dogs,
Starfish) and Sam Tipper-Hale (Starfish), with co-producer Nicola Serra for Italian production entity Palomar (The Happy Prince) and HanWay’s Stewart and CrossDay’s Janette Day as executive producers. Heads of department include award-winning cinematographer Mike Eley (The White Crow, My Cousin Rachel) and Oscar and BAFTA award winning editor Chris Dickens (Slumdog Millionaire, Les Misérables, Mary Queen of Scots).
