Fair warning, potential Game of Thrones: Season 6 spoilers follow.

Jon Snow will definitely return in the sixth season of Game of Thrones, but maybe not the way many fans are expecting. Actor Kit Harington, who plays Snow in the show, says he will appear in the new season as a corpse, and remains adamant his character is dead.

"Look, I'm not in the show any more. I'm definitely not in the new series," the actor told Time Out. "I filmed some scenes of me being dead. It's some of my best work." (That last part seems to be a joke.) He added that he "know[s] how long [he's] a corpse for," but can't reveal that information.

In October of 2014, it was reported all of Game of Thrones principle cast members had been signed on through a seventh season, though it certainly hadn't guaranteed that all characters stay alive. The contracts cover instances where HBO would need an actor after a death—like with Jon Snow's corpse.

Harington has dropped hints of his return in the past. "Let's just say that Game of Thrones will remain a part of my life for a while, I'll probably be in my 30s when it's over." He also was spotted on set back in September. We'll have to wait to find out whether this means we'll really only see his corpse, or if he'll actually be revived in some way as many fans speculate.
