Just finished watching Cosmos
I'm normally into fiction when it comes to movies and TV, but I decided to start going through IMDB's top 250 list, and came upon Cosmos, a tv series about space, the Earth, and science.
Both the 1980's Cosmos and the new 2014 one are worth watching.
I would strongly suggest watching the 1980's one first, you'll have a hard time watching it after you are accustomed to the fancy visuals in the 2014 one, plus the 2014 one makes several references to the 1980's one.
What did I like about both shows? The science and space. I'm a fan of both. But even if you're not into either, the show gives you perspective on just how big the universe is and how small we are. The earth is but a speck of dust in the vast cosmic ocean. All that bloodshed throughout history, just so one conqueror could rule another portion of this tiny blue dot, this pixel.
If everyone watched this show, we humans in general would be more concerned about discovering what's out there in the cosmos, what we can achieve, we would work together to further our understanding of the universe, rather than fighting amongst one another to grab a bigger piece of what's in this tiny blue dot we call the Earth.
