Rogue One: A Star Wars Story‘s marketing continues to reveals more and more about the small group of rebels that assemble to fight the Empire as it builds the Death Star. There’s just over a month left until Rogue One hits theaters, but new promotional materials keep revealing brief-yet-fresh glimpses at the spectacular action and visuals that lay ahead for the first anthology movie in the Star Wars canon.

The new international trailers have revealed more about the backstory of Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones) and her rise to leadership of the fierce team of rebels that undertake the mission to steal the Death Star plans; the mission that leads into the beginning of the original Star Wars film trilogy. The latest run of TV spots in the movie’s final marketing push have focused on the diverse set of characters that comprise the group and Erso’s call for them to join the rebellion.

A new TV spot debuted on the JoBlo Movie Trailers channel on YouTube, providing even more looks at the rise of the rebellion against the Death Star as it wages its planet-sized path of destruction. “Welcome to the rebellion, soldiers,” proclaims Erso in one shot. “You might want to strap in,” advises the goggled rebel pilot Bodhi Rook (Riz Ahmed) as the ship switches to hyper-drive.

There’s also a new glimpse of K-2SO (Alan Tudyk) manhandling a stormtrooper while aboard what looks like the Death Star itself, the first time the reprogrammed Imperial droid has been seen doing anything besides delivering sardonic one-liners. The spot even includes a quick first look at the character played by veteran sci-fi actor Warwick Davis, who fires a blaster of his own against the Imperial forces. Look closely for brief new clips of Baze Malbus (Wen Jiang) and Chirrut Îmwe (Donnie Yen), getting the upper-hand in their own battles.

The spot’s “Strap In” theme showcases the movie’s visuals and special effects, which appear to be as stunning as any entry in the Star Wars catalog. The battle scenes depicted in this new video are the same that have been teased in many of the previous trailers, but the fresh shots of the action can only build more excitement for its full release. There’s also a hopeful message in this new spot among the rebels, whose courage will be necessary to stand a fight against the massive dark forces of the Empire.

The rebels certainly appear compelling as a group of characters, and it’s important that they and Erso carry great chemistry in their fight against the Empire. There’s no need to worry about the effects or the action, which will surely be spectacular, and the sheer power of the Star Wars saga will be intriguing enough to make Rogue One the most anticipated movie of the holiday season. It’s the performances, however, that will ultimately set the movie apart.
