With Blake Lively aboard to star in the female-driven spy thriller The Rhythm Section, the movie is building the rest of its cast. And it has someone with a little espionage experience – albeit the comical version thanks to Spy – as Jude Law is in talks to join her.

Meadowland director Reed Morano, who recently won an Emmy Award for her work on of The Handmaid's Tale this year, is making the movie, which will adapt the first book of Mark Burnell's series. Lively is playing Stephanie Patrick, grieving the loss of her family in a plane crash. But when she discovers that the crash was no accident, she goes on a mission to find the truth by becoming an assassin and tracking down those responsible.

There's no word on what Lae will be doing in the film, though we could see him as a threat to her. Morano is gearing up to shoot soon in the UK, the States, Ireland, Spain and Switzerland, with Bond regular producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli backing the movie.

Law most recently worked on the Fantastic Beasts sequel, playing the young version of Albus Dumbledore. That movie will be out next year.
