Although Marvel fans know the drill, it is still wise to stick around after the credits of Deadpool 2. Why is that? Because the Chief Creative Officer of Marvel, Joe Quesada, promises fans will see one of the best post-credits scenes in the history of movies.

That's a pretty bold statement, especially considering that most Marvel Studios post-credits scenes often blow the minds of moviegoers. Those end credits often set up events that will happen in future movies, as well as offer teases as to what fans can expect throughout the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Consider the end credits scene of Avengers: Infinity War. Although it offered two heartbreaking deaths, it also left fans knowing that Captain Marvel is the key to saving the Avengers and defeating Thanos. Thanos himself was first teased in a post-credits scene in 2011's Thor. Now he is one of the key villains in the MCU, the big baddie responsible for killing off half the universe's population.

Quesada teased the post-credits scene while discussing Deadpool 2 on Twitter. Not only did he praise the movie's hilarity, he also told fans to stick around until after the credits to see the best post-credits scene ever.

Deadpool 2 is already on track to become another huge success for 20th Century Fox. Reports suggest that it is already set for a $350 million worldwide opening. Rotten Tomatoes certified it as fresh, meaning that it's as good as Quesada says it is. Early reviews are almost overwhelmingly positive. Even Wolverine himself, Hugh Jackman, had nothing but praise for the film. And as with the first Deadpool movie, marketing efforts for the sequel are hilarious, including a dancing Deadpool in a Celine Dion music video and a poster that announces that the movie comes from "the same studio that killed Wolverine."

Yes, expectations for Deadpool 2 are already high, but the movie has a lot in its favor. Ryan Reynolds nails the character with every quip, witticism and word of sarcasm. When he breaks the fourth wall and talks directly to the audience, it just works, as it did in the comic books. The action sequences are great. The other characters are all wild and yet fit into the world surrounding Deadpool. This all lends itself to what will certainly become a really good night at the movies. Just remember to stay put after those credits roll, it will certainly be worth it.
