Marvel's Jessica Jones – the second of Netflix's four Marvel shows – will debut on November 20th, 2015 at 12:01am PST / 8:01am GMT in all territories where Netflix is available. There will be 13 one-hour episodes. Netflix released the first teaser for the series, to accompany the date announcement.
Based on the comic book Alias by writer Brian Michael Bendis and artist Michael Gaydos, the show focuses on Jones (Krysten Ritter), a former costumed superhero who is now working in New York as a private investigator. The show will also feature David Tennant, Rachael Taylor, and Carrie-Anne Moss. Mike Colter, who plays Luke Cage, will appear as the character for the first time in Jessica Jones.
Jessica Jones is the second of four planned live-action Marvel adaptations coming to Netflix. Daredevil was the first, premiering on April 10th this year, with Marvel's Luke Cage and Marvel's Iron First both in the works.
Once all four series have aired, the characters will team up for Marvel's The Defenders, a crossover show focusing on the street-level superhero team.
