NBC's new Xena series has found its writer in Lost alum Javier Grillo-Marxuach.

According to Deadline, Grillo-Marxuach is on board to write the script and will executive produce alongside original series producers Rob Tapert and Sam Raimi.

In addition to having worked on the first two season of Lost, Grillo-Marxuach created The Middleman and is currently working on The 100, which enters its third season this coming January.

Development on NBC's new Xena series was revealed earlier this year. While the network has expressed an interest in finding a way to include former star Lucy Lawless in the reboot, nothing has been locked down just yet. "We'd love to have Lucy be a part of it," NBC's Bob Greenblatt said, so long as "her presence didn't overshadow the direction we take with it."
