Wayward Pines: Season 2 has found its new leading man in Jason Patric.

According to THR, The Lost Boys actor will star in the second season of M. Night Shyamalan's television drama as Dr. Theo Yedlin, "a confident, driven surgeon whose leadership skills will prove invaluable to the residents of Wayward Pines."

Season 2 takes place shortly after the conclusion of the first season, in which Dr. Yedlin enters Wayward Pines as a new resident who finds himself caught in the middle of a rebellion against the oppressive rule of the First Generation.

In addition to starring in The Lost Boys, Patric is also known for his roles in several other films, including Narc, Speed 2 and The Outsider. His upcoming role in Wayward Pines, however, will mark the actor's debut in as a TV series regular.

Fox is currently casting for several other roles, including Theo's wife. It's currently unknown which surviving cast members from Season 1 will be back when Wayward Pines returns for 10 episodes this summer. That said, we do know Chad Hodge—the series developer and creator—won't be back, as Mark Friedman takes his place as showrunner and executive producer.
