Cameras have yet to start rolling on the James Bond feature that is scheduled to arrive in late fall next year, even as teaser trailers have already dropped for other late-releasing 2015 tentpoles (Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens, to be exact). That finally changes next week, as production on the new Bond movie is slated to get started next Monday, with Skyfall director Sam Mendes running the show and Daniel Craig once again reprising his role as the current iteration of Agent 007. Before then, however, the film’s official title will be unveiled.

Sony Pictures will reveal the proper name for James Bond 24 on Thursday this week via a live stream from the 007 stage at London’s Pinewood Studio; at that time, the main cast will be unveiled in full, after the event gets underway at 11 a.m. GMT/3 a.m. PST.

Craig is expected to be joined in Bond 24 by a number of his Skyfall costars, including Ralph Fiennes as Agent 007′s new boss, Naomie Harris back as the character revealed to be Moneypenny (at the end of Skyfall), and Ben Whishaw as a younger version of Bond’s famous go-to tech guru, ‘Q’.

Other actors who are either heavily-rumored or all-but-officially set as cast members for Bond 24 include Oscar-winner Christoph Waltz, who may well be playing an iconic Bond villain; Dave Bautista (Guardians of the Galaxy), who is reportedly lined up to play a henchman and muscle for the film’s primary antagonist; and Léa Seydoux (Blue is the Warmest Color) as the female lead - a character whose allegiances may not be entirely clear. We’ll find for certain on Thursday whether or not these folk are, in fact, lined up to play alongside Craig in the world of secret agents and spies.

The Bond 24 storyline remains under wraps for the time being, though the script’s co-writer, John Logan, has said the movie will both continue to develop the themes of Skyfall, while also calling back to Bond franchise elements that were fundamental to the original books written by Ian Fleming. That plan may include incorporating more of the irony and camp value that was inherent to the property in the 20th century, but which have been played down a bit since the Craig era began.

Bond 24 script revisions performed by Neal Purvis, Robert Wade and, most recently, Jez Butterworth – all of whom also worked on the Skyfall screenplay – have reportedly added more witty dialogue, banter, and wry exchanges to the proceedings. The rewrites are said to be the reason that filming on the next Bond movie was delayed; if they result in a better and more enjoyable 007 adventure, then it may prove worth the price of a shortened production/post-production window for the project.

James Bond 24 (official title coming soon) opens in U.S. theaters on November 6th, 2015.
