They join Chadwick Boseman in the action thriller for STXfilms.

J.K. Simmons, Sienna Miller and Taylor Kitsch are joining Chadwick Boseman in the action thriller 17 Bridges for Avengers: Infinity War filmmakers Joe and Anthony Russo.

The STXfilms project follows a disgraced NYPD detective (Boseman) who, after being thrust into a citywide manhunt for cop killers, is given a shot at redemption. When the search intensifies, extreme measures are taken to prevent the killers from escaping Manhattan as the authorities close all 17 bridges to prevent any entry or exit from the iconic island.

Simmons earned the 2015 Oscar for best supporting actor for his star turn in Whiplash, and will be seen in Jason Reitman’s upcoming political drama The Front Runner. Miller will next be seen in the indie thriller American Woman.

Kitsch most recently starred in Only the Brave and the six-part event series Waco. Veteran TV director Brian Kirk is helming the screenplay for 17 Bridges by Adam Mervis, with revisions by Matt Carnahan.

MWM Studios joins producers Boseman, Logan Coles and Joe and Anthony Russo. Gigi Pritzker will also produce, while Rachel Shane, Adrian Alperovich, Mike Larocca and Mark Kamine will executive produce, and Melissa Rucker will co-produce.
