The show quickly became the most-watched program on The CW.
Originally a spin-off of "Arrow," the series quickly established its own lighter tone. In the second half of Season 1, "The Flash" launched a time travel storyline that managed to be both action packed and poignant, before courageously altering its entire timeline in the season finale. Given the success of "The Flash," it's nor surprise that the CW will soon another DC comics series, "Legends of Tomorrow." ”
09. "True Detective"
The Emmy-winning first season of the anthology series ranked number 6 in 2014. The second season was less beloved by critics and viewers, which was reflected in its fall to ninth place. Season 2 focused on corruption in a small suburb of Los Angeles. Stars Vince Vaughn and Colin Ferrell failed to capture the magic of Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson in Season 1. Still, the show managed the impressive feat of making the top 10 list. ”
08. "Fear the Walking Dead"
It's no surprise that the spin-off of one of the most popular shows among IMDb users made the the top ten list. "Fear The Walking Dead" is set in Los Angeles at the beginning of the zombie infestation, it shows how society fell apart. The series started slow, which was reflected in some user reviews, but picked up steam over the course of its six episodes. The full apocalypse began in the Season 1 finale, portending an exciting Season 2. ”
07. "Orange Is the New Black"
The third season of dramedy set in a women's prison ranked seventh, down from fourth in 2014. The decline could reflect the sentiment of many fans that Season 3 was not as cohesive as Season 2. Nonetheless, the diverse, mostly female cast and the funny, flawed characters still make a unique series that strikes a chord with IMDb users.
06. "American Horror Story"
The anthology series fell three slots from last year. However, viewers still seem quite happy with the show. Every single episode that aired averaged above a 8.0 User Rating. The 2015 calendar year included parts of both "American Horror Story: Freak Show" and "American Horror Story: Hotel." The latter generated lots of attention for casting Lady Gaga. ”

Another first-timer on the list, "Narcos," is based on the true story of Colombian drug kingpin Pablo Escobar (Wagner Moura). The addictive drama chronicles the 1980s launch of the war on drugs from the perspective of both drug dealers and law enforcement. Filmed in a combination of English and Spanish, it appealed to viewers from all over the world. ”
04. "Daredevil"
The highest ranked newcomer on the list, "Daredevil" is regarded by many fans as the best TV series based in the Marvel comic universe. The sophisticated, gritty series about Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), a blind lawyer who is also all-too-human superhero, was true enough to the source material to appeal to fans of the comic, but worked as a standalone drama for people who were unfamiliar with the character of Daredevil.
03. "Arrow"
"Arrow" moved up three slots from 2014. The appearance of several members of the Suicide Squad during Season 3, including Deadshot and Amanda Palmer, may have piqued IMDb users' interest, though the characters will played by different actors in the upcoming Suicide Squad movie.
Season 3 storylines included Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Felicity's (Emily Bett Rickards romance and Ra's al Ghul's ( Matt Nable) plot to destroy Starling City. Season 4, which launched this fall, finds Oliver running for mayor. ”

"The Walking Dead" repeated as the second most popular show. Shocking deaths and returns kept IMDb users interested. In February, the show killed off Tyreese (Chad L. Coleman). In October, fan-favorite Glenn (Steven Yeun) appeared to die. The show did not reveal his actual fate until late November. For fans trying to ferret out the truth about his fate, our cast lists and message boards were a great place to search for clues. ”

For the second consecutive year, "Game of Thrones" was the most popular series among IMDb users. The show's continued dominance reflects a fifth season that was filled with memorable moments, including the White Walker attack, Cersei's (Lena Headey) walk of shame and Jon Snow's (Kit Harington) apparent death. In addition, the series finally won the Outstanding Drama Emmy in 2015.
