As disgruntled Canadian Stephen Abootman once demanded on South Park, “The internet makes a lot of money. So give us some of that money.” Abootman didn’t exactly get his wish, but since that episode aired many people have successfully figured out ways to make internet money and a great many more are eager to cash in on it as well.

Among the success stories of the internet age is Tardar Sauce AKA Grumpy Cat, whose downturned mouth and grumpy expression have been powerful enough to launch her as an internet meme, a registered trademark, and now a TV movie star voiced by Parks and Recreation‘s Aubrey Plaza. It looks like we finally have an answer to the question of whether it’s possible to milk a cat.

The first trailer for this TV movie, which is titled Grumpy Cat’s Worst Christmas Ever, has now been unveiled, and it looks pretty much exactly how you’d expect a Grumpy Cat cash-in movie to look. Here’s the official synopsis:

In “Grumpy Cat’s Worst Christmas Ever,” Grumpy Cat is a lonely cat living in a mall pet shop. Because she always gets passed over and never gets chosen by customers, this kitty develops a sour outlook on life until…one day during the holidays, a very special 12-year-old girl named Chrystal enters the pet store and falls in love with Grumpy Cat. A unique friendship is formed between the two when Chrystal finds she is the only person who can hear this unique feline talk. In the middle of the holiday rush, Grumpy reluctantly thwarts the kidnapping of an expensive exotic dog she can’t stand and rescues Chyrstal after the mall closes on Christmas Eve. Will Grumpy Cat learn the true meaning of Christmas, or will it be in Grumpy’s words, “Worst. Christmas. Ever?”

It’s difficult to be too hard on Grumpy Cat’s Worst Christmas Ever, since Tardar Sauce is always there to out-grump anyone who tries to be grumpy about it. For an internet joke that can be summed up in two words, this is probably the best end product that could have been expected, and the trailer does actually have a couple of pretty funny lines (“Of course I’m serious, look at my face.”).

Strangely, Aubrey Plaza’s April Ludgate persona doesn’t quite fit Grumpy Cat despite being perfect for the character in theory. She seems to have overshot “grumpy” and fallen into “bored,” which could get a bit grating over the course of a feature length running time. The trailer has received a mostly negative response from internet commenters so far, but perhaps we’ll all feel differently once the holiday spirit rolls around.

Grumpy Cat’s Worst Christmas Ever will air November 29th at 8/7c on Lifetime.
