“Ground Floor” has officially been cancelled, Variety has confirmed.

TBS has decided not to renew the multicam workplace comedy for a third season. The official cancellation comes just two weeks after the Turner cabler had agreed to let the cast, including lead Skylar Astin, look for second position jobs.

Variety has learned that Astin (“Pitch Perfect”) is close to locking down a deal to star in ABC’s untitled NBA comedy pilot from exec producers Aaron Kaplan and Dan Fogelman.

“Ground Floor” was created and exec produced by “Cougar Town’s” Bill Lawrence and Greg Malins. The series also starred Briga Heelan, Rory Scovel and John C. McGinley.
