Spring 2018 TV Premiere Dates: New and Returning Shows To Watch
Although the official start of spring is still a few weeks away, TV is getting a jump on things with a slew of new and returning shows over the next few months. Some, like FX’s highly anticipated Atlanta have been on extended hiatuses, making their return all the more noteworthy. Meanwhile, there are others like The Americans that will begin their final season around the same time Danny Boyle brings another take on the Getty kidnapping drama to living rooms everywhere with Trust.
As exciting as its lineup is, there’s a lot more headed audiences’ way than just what’s on FX. Netflix, for its part, continues to offer a new television series to binge just about every week, and that’s when it’s not busy dropping sci-fi bombs on an unsuspecting audience thinking they’re going to unwind after the Super Bowl by watching a Crock-Pot burn a guy to a crisp. Meanwhile, Amazon has two terrific crime series in Sneaky Pete and Bosch, but will also change things up with The Dangerous Book For Boys. And finally, Hulu has Neil Cross’ Hard Sun along with the return of the Emmy winning The Handmaid’s Tale.
HBO is in on the act too, with the April return of Westworld that will likely prove once and for all if the series will be a Game of Thrones-level event or if people were just into the first season for the Reddit threads. The premium cabler also has the return of Silicon Valley and the premiere of Bill Hader’s hitman comedy Barry to even things out.
That’s a lot of new and returning shows already, but we’re barely scratching the surface of what’s on the way over the next few months. Peak TV is a year-round deal, so you’ll have to plan accordingly. Check out the list below to see when the shows you’re most excited for will premiere.
