A motion poster for Glass confirms the new trailer will arrive this week on Thursday, October 11. Director M. Night Shyamalan is wrapping up his surprise superhero trilogy with this film, which serves as a followup to his Unbreakable and Split. Plot details have largely been kept under wraps, but it's known Bruce Willis' David Dunn will square off against the deadly duo of his old nemesis Mr. Glass (Samuel L. Jackson) and Kevin Wendell Crumb/The Beast (James McAvoy). Glass also sees Anya Taylor-Joy's Casey Cooke return to the fold, where she'll further develop her fascinating dynamic with Kevin and his numerous personalities.

Universal got the ball rolling on promotion over the summer during their Hall H presentation at San Diego Comic-Con. It was there the first trailer was unveiled, setting the stage for the narrative and teasing the general tone of a grounded superhero drama. But now that there are roughly three months until Glass makes its way into theaters, the studio is revving up the marketing machine for another big push. Another look at the movie will be unveiled in just a few days.

The official Glass Twitter account shared a motion poster spotlighting Kevin. In the post, it's announced the next trailer comes out this Thursday, where it will likely be attached to screenings of Universal's First Man. Check it out in the space below.

Over the summer, the three main characters each received their own individual teaser, so it's certainly plausible there will be motion posters for both Mr. Glass and Dunn in the build-up to the trailer. While the film will feature some new characters (like Sarah Paulson's psychiatrist Dr. Ellie Staple), Glass' primary focus is on its super-powered trio, and understandably so. As for the trailer, it will likely delve a little deeper into the story and what's at stake, but secrets will surely be preserved. Shyamalan is famous for including twists in his narratives and wouldn't want anything major spoiled before Glass premieres. He pulled a fast one on audiences when Split turned out to be part of the Unbreakable universe, so it'll be interesting to see what he has in mind this time.

After The Visit impressed, there was some excitement surrounding the release of Split, but Glass is the first time there's been genuine, widespread hype and expectations for a Shyamalan movie in quite some time. The director did a remarkable job bouncing back from the dark ages of The Last Airbender and After Earth, returning to his thriller roots, and hopefully his recent hot streak continues. Unbreakable fans clamored for a sequel to that film (which was well ahead of its time) for years, so it would be disappointing if it fell short. Fortunately, everything about Glass looks good so far and it should be an early hit to kick off 2019.
